About me
My name is Shannon and I am an LCSW in Norman, OK. I have worked in a therapeutic setting for over 18 years and still feel it is my calling. I have worked in youth and family centers, been a coordinator for in-school therapy, a manager for Victims of Crime Act, worked with the court and prison systems, completed assessment and referral for SMI individuals, and have been in private practice. I realized through work with families and individuals how often our closest relationships are the ones we think we can make up for later but often result in the most pain. I decided to start seeing couples and received wonderful feedback.
My therapy style is relaxed, warm and my approach is CBT, Psychodynamic and the empowerment approach. I believe we all have strengths and once we begin to recognize them we will begin to use them and will continue to build. I look forward to working with you.
