About Me

I am a Marriage & Family Therapist and have been providing therapy, consultation and support for couples, families and individuals for over 12 years. I lived and worked in Hilo, Hawaii for many years where I completed my education before moving to California. I have worked with people from all walks of life and from many cultures experiencing myriad challenges that life can present.

We live in a demanding culture in which the choices and pressures of everyday life can become overwhelming; confusion, depression and anxiety can be a result. Career and lifestyle choices can be daunting and cause both interpersonal and intrapersonal conflict. Relationships can suffer. I have worked with couples to break through the fog of life’s demands to see one another again. I have assisted couples to rediscover, redefine, re-enliven, and re-imagine their relationships. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help generate self-affirming ideas and change thought patterns towards a hopeful and resilient future. To relieve stress and gain perspective, I focus on mindfulness and integrative practices leading toward a centered and more balanced life. For those struggling to balance career with relationship or family demands, I can offer a solution-focused approach.

Every situation is interesting and I enjoy the journey of discovery with everyone, increasing insight and finding solutions. I recognize that people are incredibly unique and they have freedom of choice in all aspects of lifestyle, personal relationship and family arrangement. I deeply respect each person and their choices.
