If your marriage isn’t as happy and fulfilling as it used to be, it’s time to meet with someone who can help. My name is Wayne Bills, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in North Carolina. If you are looking for someone who can guide you through a change process, and you are ready to do what it takes, let's talk about your needs, challenges and goals.
My wife and I just celebrated 42 years of marriage. (Yes, she is a loving and patient woman. Together we have figured out how to get through many of life's challenges.) I have worked with couples ranging from those who are contemplating marriage and want to get off to a good start, to those who have been married for just a few years, to those who have been married for decades. One truth I have discovered, and you are sure to agree, is that relationships change.
It’s not easy to share the most personal thoughts, challenges and emotions from your life. I can make that easier. My clients appreciate the calm, respectful approach I use in our sessions. Listening is my most important therapeutic skill. You need someone who, first and foremost, takes the time to understand.
My approach to therapy is wholistic; each dimension of your life is important. I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and problem solving to help guide you through a process of change. Affixing a label or passing judgement is not the goal. Instead, helping you find answers and overcoming the issues that have brought you to this point? That's the goal.
Congratulations on having the courage to be here. I look forward to working with you.

Mr. Bills has guided me with wisdom and compassion to confront some very uncomfortable aspects of myself. It takes a highly skilled, dedicated and caring person to do that.
Without Wayne, I do not know where we would be. He approached our problems with so much thought, care, and consideration that we could not help but improve. Thank you Wayne, we just cannot tell you how much help you have been.
I've been in counseling before, but I've never had someone be so calming and understanding. Wayne takes his time to really understand what's going on, and makes sure to hear both sides. We left our first session with tools to improve things that day.
