Hi! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 5 years of counseling experience. I have worked with individuals and families presenting with a wide range of concerns. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, loss, and with families in conflict. Good relationships happen on purpose, and my goal is to help you and your spouse do the right things to have a good relationship.
My counseling philosophy is that YOU are the expert of your own life; and therefore, you know my best what you need. My approach is integrative, incorporating different therapeutic techniques to make sure that your specific concern is addressed in the way most effective for you and your spouse. Our work together will always be person (you)- centered and strength-based, because, again, I truly believe that you have what it takes to succeed. My role is to guide and support you in building the skills and confidence necessary to accomplish whatever goals you have may have set for yourself. Together, we can deconstruct "stinking thinking" and unhealthy habits; and, replace them with healthy thought patterns and habits. Congratulations on taking the first step, seeking therapy.
I look forward to meeting you and to begin working together! Let's do it!

When we started counseling with Walt at the beginning of the pandemic/lockdowns, things were rough. My husband and I weren't communicating or connecting - we just weren't on the same page. After months of hard work, honest conversations, and really listening to each other I feel as in love with my husband as the day I married him, but now I know him better, and I know that we can get through whatever life throws at us, even if we need a little help sometimes. I really don't know where our marriage would be if we hadn't made this choice, and I am beyond thankful for the guidance that helped us work though this and come back together.
Walt has been a great counselor. Thanks to him we are in a better place and much happier.
This has been a great first experience into counseling so far. I would definitely recommend.
I enjoy this counselor!
Walt has provided me and my partner with invaluable tools to use with the purpose of understanding each other better. We were experiencing more significant and frequent bouts of arguments during the shelter at home orders and decided we needed a neutral third party to help shine some light on our situation. Walt is that light and has really encouraged and facilitated communication in our relationship, more than we have ever had in the past.
Makes you ask yourself the right questions. Think about the others and think about the relationship.
We've been working with Walt for a couple of weeks, and he is awesome! My husband and I have a wonderful relationship overall, but are working together on a discrete issue. Walt understands and respects this role, and has been a great facilitator in helping us work through how to navigate the matter. He is friendly, a great listener, and asks the right questions to get us to the next step. We have been very impressed so far!
