Life can be extremely challenging and difficult when added stress or anxiety is present. Life adjustments and personal identity issues can also take a toll on personal goals or relationships. I want to welcome you to counseling, I am glad you are here. My name is Veronica Sandoval and I am a licensed professional counseling in the state of Texas. I obtained my bachelors in psychology in south Texas and my masters in clinical mental health counseling in north Texas.
I have worked in large counseling centers, private practice, and school systems. I have experience with all ages and find most joy in helping adults/ families make their life manageable when they face grief, life changes, family conflict or career stress. I have experience in how childhood trauma affects adult hood and family dynamics. I also have experience in working with management of stress through adversity.
I have worked with diverse populations and include techniques that I find will benefit my client. I incorporate Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and solution focused. As I utilizes these techniques it allows me to establish a strong genuine professional relationship with the client to obtain the best version of themselves. CBT, allows me to work through thoughts, behaviors, and emotions in relation to their concerns to eventually develop better life patterns. Solution Focused gauges the clients continued motivation for establishing goals in addition to developing strong coping skills.
I am excited to work with families and couples that know therapy will take some time but know it will be worth it. It takes both the client and the therapist to work through difficulty in life that might be keeping us from complete peace. Family unity is worth it.
