About me
Hello, my name is Vanessa Costello, and I am a licensed therapist who lives in Oklahoma with over 10 years of experience in working as a therapist. I have a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and I am licensed in Oklahoma, Texas and Arizona. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence, & depression. I have expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma focused therapy and Christian couples counseling. I work with couples to repair trust, improve communication, and strengthen their emotional intimacy with each other from a Biblical Christian perspective.
It has long been believed that through relationships we are wounded and by relationships we can be healed. It is my goal in a therapeutic rapport to foster a collaborative, healing relationship that provides safety for healing and growth combining Biblical and therapeutic perspectives. Many times, we seek “quick fixes” in counseling. However, healing and growth can only be achieved through hard work in the form of vulnerability in sessions, using learning tools and techniques discussed, and commitment to each other and the process. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

Vanessa is the best. She has a bag of tools and she knows which ones to pull out for each situation. The worksheets and excersizes have helped me more than I would of ever believed. She is kind and really listens and try to understand my point of view and help me for things I can not see or maybe have ignored. She has helped me become a better version of myself!

Vanessa impressed me by getting right to work on our issues. No wasted time in our session, which is fantastic for a couple that needs this time to understand how to work on our relationship.
We’ve only had one session, so I expect my recommendation for Vanessa will be at a 10 once we’ve worked with her a bit longer.
I’m happy so far
Right out of the gate Vanessa helped us pinpoint our issues and gave us the tools we needed to begin healing ourselves and our marriage. After years of shying away from doing the work and a couple of failed attempts with other therapists I’m so grateful we chose to give Vanessa a shot, she’s a true Godsend.
