About me
Hi, I am Dr. Trygve B. Trosper, a skilled and well-informed therapist. I am based in Chicago, IL but I’m licensed as a LPC in Illinois, Virginia, and Washington D.C. My psychotherapy experiences expand over two decades from hospital settings to private practice. Treatment specialties include; parenting, PTSD, depression, anxiety, conduct disorder, anger management and couple/relationship problems. Working with couples is very rewarding and challenging. Once a couple make a joint decision to seek help for whatever the problem is rearing practices, communication, or intimacy therapy/counseling is the right choice to begin to address relationship issues. As an eclectic therapist, I know that individuals are unique and he/she/they warrants an individualized treatment plan to meet their specific needs. Lastly, I am a retired military veteran.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Trygve Trosper. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Doc has been a great support to us. He listens to our concerns and offers practical guidance. We appreciate his honesty and ability to hold us each accountable.
Dr. Trosper has been great. Having shared military experience really helps us understand the lifestyle and aftermath. I don't feel like I have to go into depth on surface things because he understands the depth of the military lifestyle. We've tried other (women or couple) counselors in the past. My husband is used to be praised every where he goes. Dr. Trosper isn't one sided or biased. He calls out wrongs and gives us tools to make them right. Having a male counselor, with military experience helped ease my husband into going (and he can hear from another man on his actions). My husband has actually begun to use Dr. Trosper's tools at home in his communication with me (and it's only been 3 weeks). We aren't there yet, but it's a start and Dr. Trosper is continually encouraging along the way.
Dr. Trooper has helped get me on track and truly transform my life for the better.
Resolution based, clear communication, helped me better cope with anxiety- and motherhood.
We've only had one session but Dr. Trosper was wonderful. We are excited to continue working with him.
