About Me

Generally, I use Systems-based and Solution -focused approaches with families under the umbrella of positive psychology. I have been working in with couples in a part-time private practice for 12 years. I have done a lot of family work in substance use related conditions, as well as employee assistance programs. I collaborate with my clients in many ways, While I am a professional counselor, in certain ways, the expert on oneself is the person her/his-self, event if they feel stuck or uncertain of what to do. I will strive to work with and yours to help in any way I can.

I also use the three mode concept of reason-emotion-defensive. I use communication skills from the Power-of-Two concept and am familiar with John Gottman's work as well.
