Traci Ferris

About Me

My name is Traci Ferris and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I obtained a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Valdosta State University in 2008 and received my full license in 2010. I utilize a narrative and strength-based approach to working with individuals and couples or families, examining each person's unique perspective of the problem situation and how it impacts their lives as well as the family unit as a whole. Through questioning, processing and dialogue I work with my clients to deconstruct a narrative that may be constricted by socially constructed values/beliefs that do not take into account the unique qualities and truths that each of us hold as we move through life and learn about ourselves and how we fit into society. Through this dialogue I guide my clients into a framework and narrative that takes into account each individual's and family's strengths. My treatment focus areas are trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, bipolar, couples/family counseling with a focus on military families, and issues around sex and sexuality.

I’ve enjoyed the service so far. I like the counselor chosen for us but really enjoy the group sessions available to use as well.

My boyfriend and I were matched with Traci during a very rough point in our relationship. We did counseling with her for a couple of months, and in that time she helped us turn our relationship around completely. Not only did she help us communicate clearly with each other, but she also gave us some amazing tools to take along with us. She made us feel very comfortable and really impacted our relationship for the better. I highly recommend and am very thankful for Traci!

Traci is wonderful! She is very professional, caring, knowledgeable, and non-judgmental. I'm happy that we were paired with her.
