About me
I am Licenced Clinicial Social Worker and Master Addiction Counselor. I have spent the 40 years in the helping professions. I have helped couples with relationship concerns improve their communication and bring conclusion to their issues with counseling. I have successfully assisted couples address issues such as a sick or dying significant other, child or parent and coping with loss. and seperation. I taught graduate level social work students for four years at Rutgers. I have successfully assisted a broad spectrum of persons with a variety of problems including a spouse/significant other with more severe mental illness.
My focuses in counseling and therapy is always to first get to know the couple seeking assistance and working with them to offer an individualized treatment approach and plan that is specifically developed to help them to successfully address their needs and empower them to improve theirrelationship overcome problems that are causing a strain on their relationship and or chart another course. I am well versed in a number of treatment modalites including but limited to: Cognitive Behavioral , Family Centered and Family Focused therapies. I believe that in order to have a successful marriage/relationship, couples need to develop the ability to accept the unchangeable and change what can be changed. This realistic premise is at the heart of integrative couple therapy which I believe works well in resolving conflicts in relationships and or making decisions on the their furture.
Clearing using a flexible intergated appraoch to couples therapy can be one of the best ways to have people take control of their relationship and be successful!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Thomas Patitucci. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Thomas is a kind and attentive therapist. His easy temperament was a warm welcome every week. Would highly recommend.
I am so thankful that I found Thomas as my therapist. He has been an invaluable source of support and has helped me make huge positive changes in my life. He is always attentive and listens carefully to what I have to say, and offers great insights and advice. I have noticed a positive difference in my life since I started seeing Thomas and I am so thankful for his help. I would highly recommend Thomas to anyone looking for a therapist that truly cares and can help make a difference. Thank you, Thomas, for all you have done for me!
Great communication!
Great therapist
He’s great
I feel close to Thomas. We can talk about anything. He responds fast, has a great sense of humor. Tells you how it is when needed. I highly recommend Thomas to anyone. I’m glad to have been paired with him.
I have the best counselor!
Thomas is personable, friendly, light hearted, and kind. He can tell it like it is, but he uses humor to soften the blow and I appreciate that! He notices small details in what I am saying and encourages me to expand on those. Talking to him feels more like talking to a friend or relative instead of someone who is cold and calculated in their approach (which I have experienced!!) Very thorough, I definitely recommend.
Thomas has a realistic approach and is helping me clarify my thinking. He responds to written correspondence between sessions and sends me notes of encouragement during the week.
