I'm a licensed mental health counselor in New York State and Rhode Island with a MS in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher College and a B.A. in English Literature from SUNY Geneseo. I have extensive experience working with individuals and groups around relationship issues, as well as specialized training in couples counseling. I have worked in multiple settings, including a university counseling center and outpatient mental health clinics.
I take a person-centered, strengths-based approach, which means therapeutic work is collaborative and I listen deeply without judgment to my clients. I enjoy working with couples on building skills to enhance their relationships (such as communication skills) as well as deeply exploring their relationship dynamics so as to uncover hidden issues and help them to thrive together.

Susanna has been amazing!
Susanna was excellent to work with and always took the time to make sure she was addressing my needs or any questions I had. I enjoyed working with her and found her extremely easy to be open with.
