I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Alabama with fourteen years of experience working as a counselor for a wide range of concerns. I have worked with individuals and families dealing with anxiety, child related specific issues, relationship issues, couple issues, parenting problems, and many other issues. I have helped many individuals who have experienced trauma. I always approach every individual and situation from a trauma informed lens when counseling.
My counseling style is warm and engaging. I believe it is important to treat everyone with respect. One of the main ways I show respect is by really listening to hear your story. I also use a strength based approach utilizing the individual’s strengths to overcome the challenges they may face. I counseling approach uses cognitive-behavioral therapy and other styles while utilizing evidence based interventions to tailor treatment to your specific needs.
Thank you for taking the step toward health and healing through counseling. It isn’t easy to begin this journey but you have taken the brave first step that will bring positive change in your life. I look forward to working to support you on this journey.

So far it's been good. Stephanie provides useful tools to help me understand my spouse, but more importantly myself in terms of handling situations. I always look forward to talking to you and offering expertise when needed.
