About me
Life is ever changing; the challenge is to be able to manage and keep moving forward while maintaining a positive and healthy mindset. Most of the time the answers to our questions, fears and even desires are just a matter of reaching forward to take action and working through it. Let's work together, I'm here to help.
We are communal beings and benefit from the assistance of someone coming along side us to help. That is what I believe therapy is a collaborative effort to reach your desired goals.
I am a graduate of Regent University (2011) with a Master's degree in counseling, a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida.
As an outpatient therapist, I enjoy working with individuals, families, and children. I have extensive experience working with groups, individual counseling, premarital, marital, couples, family relationships, adults, adolescents and children. I have worked with children in schools as a therapeutic day counselor, intensive in-home counselor working with at- risk children and their families. I have also facilitated support groups for individuals dealing with depression, anxiety and bipolar.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Shirley Louisor. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Shirley is knowledgeable, understanding, patient, a great listener, fair, inquisitive, thoughtful and encouraging. I'm very grateful that my partner and I -- who are navigating a new phase of our relationship as new parents -- found her. She's been a blessing for us.
Amazing!!! Wonderful!! The best
She is very professional and listens to my concerns. I am looking forward to working through issues with her.
Shirley uses strong language in the right way and with the right timing to be effective. There is a fine line between being too weak or being offensive and Shirley is able to walk that line.
great would like Monday or Friday at 4pm for regularly scheduled visits
I’ve only had one session so far, but I felt comfortable with Shirley and her ability to help.
Shirley is very understanding of my life concerns and is comforting and has great expertise. I look forward to our talks and always feel empowered afterward. She has great insights for me to apply.
Shirley is great!! She has helped my husband and I through a hard time.
Need more availability. Would like therapy on a weekly basis.
Ms. Shirley Louisor has been great. She’s been a great listener and from there has provided significant guidance. She asks us about progress we’ve made and provides suggestions on practices to incorporate into our relationship/life.
