Thank you for sharing information about the challenges that you are facing. I'm happy that you have begun the first steps on a healthy and positive journey of healing and wellness in your life.
Please take a look at my profile for more information about my background, education, experience, and counseling approach by clicking on my name above our messages. I generally check messages here a few times per day Mon-Fri. and respond as quickly as I can. I do appreciate your patience when it takes longer to respond to your message as I may be working with other clients or engaged in personal responsibilities.
I approach counseling from a cognitive-behavioral perspective. I assist clients in understanding how thoughts and feelings influence behaviors. Patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that interfere with present functioning are examined. Various other perspectives and strategies are used based on the client's individual issues and needs.
My goal and hope in working together are to help you to improve the quality of your relationship by dealing with issues in ways that support you to grow as individuals and as a couple. I want to encourage you to think about 2 to 3 goals that you would like to work toward. You can see available times to schedule on the left-hand side of your sessions page under my photo and name. I have set time slots as "Open" on my schedule for the week which means that the time slot is available. The scheduler is currently formatted in 30-minute increments, however, if you want an hour-long session, please let me know so that I can leave the next 30-minute block unavailable.
I look forward to working with you and appreciate that you value your marriage and want to resolve issues that are causing conflicts in your relationship.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sandra Johnson. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with ReGain might be different.
Sandra is a compassionate lady, who is very relatable and easy to talk to. We appreciate her help and enjoyed talking with her and getting her advice.
Great listener!!!!! Provides excellent feedback. Extremely knowledgeable and professional
Over the past month Ms Johnson has worked with my husband and I to help us develop communication skills and better ways to address conflict. Although, we have gotten emotional at times, Ms Johnson has been very patient and her ability to to remain calm and empathetic gives me hope and encouragement. We are great full for her expertise and her kindness.

Great collaborator who listens, directs, coaches very well.
Working with Sandra has been great for my relationship! She worked my partner and I through exercises that helped us build trust, understanding, and better communication with each other. I definitely recommend her!
Sandra helped us through so much in our relationship. We have learned new techniques on communication and so many other things as well. We are very fortunate for her help in turning our relationship around. 10/10 recommend her !
Excellent Counselor!!!! Very good listener and gives great strategies for self improvement.
Great counselor and ever better person. Had a poor experience with the first counselor I was assigned, but Sandra had a far more compassionate and professional demeanor. The relationship was quite toxic and in a relatively short time respect, communication and validation were reincorporated back into the dynamic. She's like that wise auntie that you run to when you have a problem; not because she solves it for you, but because she teaches you how to step back, take a moment and work it out for yourself with guidance and a trusted sounding board. She helps you face your truths in practical, sustainable ways.
Sandra Johnson tells it how it is. She is very knowledgeable, respectful and caring.
Sandra Johnson was very patient and understanding about my concerns with my marriage. It was a very good 1st session. Thank you
She is amazing im so glad that I found her
Sandra has been a big help for us. I hope she continues to offer her much needed talent to every couple in need.
Sandra was a fantastic counselor. Very nice and helpful. Me and my significant other were close to ending our relationship and with her help things have gotten better. She also helped us with personal growth. She is always there to listen and offer advice. Every week I asked her to add a half hour to our session she did it for us. She has been excellent and if it wasnt for financial constraints we would probably continue to see her every week. She would do personal sessions with us as needed as well. She was very flexible with us. We will miss her alot.
Great experience so far
Very methodical. The manner she engages us is effective, obviously from years of experience.
Sandra has been excellent. She listens and prescribes appropriate, helpful practices for us. She seems to “get” us and why we are here seeking help.
