About me

Hi, my name is Robin Behar and I have been a licensed Psychotherapist in Florida for over 25 years. I currently have a private practice where I provide counseling to individual and couples of all ages. I also provide supervision to upcoming mental health counselors. My therapy includes working with horses and dogs for clients who can benefit from that type of therapeutic experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns and from a wide range of socio economic backyards. My experience includes depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, grief and loss, ADHD, and life coaching. I also have helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I have worked as a clinician for many years dealing with all family members affected by domestic violence in groups and individually.
My counseling style is person centered, I am warm and interactive. I believe in working with you as a team at your pace treating you with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach is to be where you are at any given point therapy. I am trained in cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and art therapy. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
