About me
Hi, I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the mental health field for the last 36 years. The first part of my career was in in Virginia working as an emergency mental health therapist in a community mental health clinic. I moved to North Carolina 30 years ago. For 16 years I worked as a mental health therapist in an inpatient psychiatric hospital. Then I went to work for the military as a mental health therapist working with the Marines and Navy servicemembers for the last 14 years.
I also had a part time private practice for 23 years where I primarily worked with couples who were working on their relationship. I did not have much opportunity in my full time job to work with couples which is my passion. I was able to meet with couples in the evening to help them resolve their conflicts and develop positive coping skills as a couple.
I love working with people to help them achieve their goals. My style is to help you develop the goals you want to change and give you the tools to achieve that goal. It is my privilege and honor to help those who are seeking help for themselves. I see my self as an integrative therapist who utilizes many tools to help my clients.
I check my messages several times a day seven days a week and will get back to you within 24 hours or less.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Peggy Fair. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Peggy has been great. She is so understanding and we had a great experience with her!
So far so good!
I like how she listens, gives feed back but the feed back is to allow us to make decisions on whats best. She does not say well do this, that, that and this and things will be better. She asked well what will make this better or how does doing this will make things better.
Peggy saw my ex fiancée and I as we were going through mental heath challenges and a break up. She was an excellent couples therapist and both of us always felt heard and understood in sessions. She had good advice and was always willing to listen. She was quick to respond to messages and had lots of availability in the evening which made it easy to go to appointments.
Peggy has been great in helping with my partners and I’s relationship! Asking great questions that makes you think about situations and ways to work through them.
Great therapist who is empathetic and offers an outside perspective and ways to cope in the heat of the moment and before/after.
