Hello there and thank you for clicking on my profile. If we meet, the first thing you will notice (after my well earned wrinkles) is that I have an Irish accent! I came to the USA over 40 years ago to work at the World Bank with very diverse teams and expertise. Then I retrained as a licensed clinical social worker so I could focus on supporting individuals and couples in need using both my clinical training and experience as well as my life experience around the world and in the US.
Something has brought you to this site today! Perhaps there is a deep rupture in a relationship due to a betrayal of trust or a deep disappointment. Or maybe there is a low and slow sadness as you and your partner grow further apart , or an accumulation of external factors that drains away light and warmth. Whatever brings you here today, just know that your desire to build a stronger relationship is a courageous and powerful desire anchored in love. Couples work is demanding and often it is possible to see some positive results quickly. There is no magic in this work. Often the highest and fastest benefits can come from adjusting some key communications patterns and behaviors using well tested tools and techniques.
In the case of major betrayals or disappointments couples work requires long and deep mutual efforts to gradually rebuild trust. And this can be done... where there is will , there is a path forward. Whatever your couples or relationship goal is I hope you do find the support you need. And I will be delighted to meet you if you decide to work with me. All best wishes, take great care, Paula

Paula is fantastic. I feel like we really lucked out getting matched with her on ReGain.
