About me

I believe that one of the major crises in our country is the disintegration of marriages which has repercussions far into the future. Working with couple’s has become a major focus of my work. For couple’s who prefer a secular therapist, I prefer to use the Gottman approach to relationship counseling. If you and your partner prefer a more Christian approach, I use a variety of Christian approaches championed by James Dobson, John Eldredge, and Gordon Dalbey.

My approach is warm, and client centered. I believe in treating all my clients with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I do not believe in labels that stereotype. My approach has allowed me to work with individuals who prefer a Christian approach.

Making real change takes courage, determination and insight. Seeking help is usually the first step towards accomplishing those goals. If I seem like a good fit for you or a loved one, I look forward to working with you.

He listens and suggests ways to make small but significant tasks attainable

We very much enjoy the time we have spent in our sessions with Paul, he has given us some wonderful tools, and insight into ways we can communicate better and also what we might be working through. It has been a very good experience and we would recommend this for anyone who might be hesitant about counseling.

Paul has been great, but we only met once so we are early in the game. HOPEFUL,
