About me
Your relationships often determine your happiness or heartaches. Counseling and coaching is not just for when the problems arise. It is also for learning relationship skills and using those skills when your lives change, and your relationship continues to develop.
I practice using the influences of the Gottman Method for therapy which is an approach to couples therapy that includes a thorough assessment of the couple's relationship and integrates research-based interventions. I also work from a developmental model to support and assess how your relationship as progressed since you have been together. Goals include disarming conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection.
Couples often seek therapy for infidelity, conflict, and questions about how to remain close and still have time for individual needs. Message me with any questions you have. Looking forward to our work together.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Patricia Godwin. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Patricia takes a very thoughtful, considerate and serious approach to making couples therapy effective. The frameworks she employs are based on good research and practical application. She helps everyone feel heard and works with compassion and a clear desire to confront reality and make effective adjustments in perspective and action.
Patricia has been such a wonderful human to work with. She listens well, teaches well, and makes both of us feel safe to talk about our feelings. She helps us find solutions to our problems and she opens our eyes to all the good our relationship has to offer. We love love LOVE her so much.
Patricia has been a wonderful therapist for both of us. She’s warm, perceptive, and direct in a way that makes it easy to trust her feedback. She helps us communicate more clearly and approach challenges with curiosity instead of defensiveness. We’ve noticed real growth in our relationship and as individuals through our work with her. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a therapist who combines honesty with genuine care.
She is helpful, understanding, and to the point of what needs to happen to make changes in life and relationships
Patricia is amazingly calm and collected and sees things from a perspective that allows self-evaluation with respect. She allows open communication and jumps in when necessary. I appreciate her very much and even though our struggles continue as a couple, Patricia has done everything in her power to assist and is a great therapist.
I have seen a lot of therapists in my life and Patricia is by far the best. She accurately identifies root cause, challenges you to fix it, and supports you on your entire journey. She is very in tune with visual and verbal cues despite being virtual.
