About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Montana with over 21 years of experience working as a therapist. My journey in the field started in reunification of families whose children had been removed due to neglect and abuse. Most recently I was trained as a Diversity and Inclusion Counselor for my work with service members and their families. I have extensive experience in helping clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, grief and loss, family of origin issues, physical trauma or emotional abuse, just to name a few. My success rate in helping couples heal broken relationships is high. My focus is on the 5 Love Languages, effective communication, and recognizing Cognitive Distortions.
My counseling style is warm and interactive, taking time to build rapport as it is a solid foundation for the future counselor/client relationship. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Empathy is key. However, I am direct and honest with clients. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, solution focused and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek help from a therapist. I love to help and educate clients. I am here to listen and help you learn and apply life changing tools. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to working with you.

Nikki, has quickly helped shift our marriage and my individual life around; in a matter of (2) weeks. She’s an expert at what she does, she cares without getting in the box with you and she’s highly professional. Great asset to your organization!
My husband and I were very pleased with Dr. Nikki in many aspects. Both of us felt heard, were given tangible tips to help our situation on a daily basis, and she was very flexible with scheduling sessions. Would highly recommend
Wonderful to work with Nikki, I feel safe and fully respected. If ever I do have language problems, she gives me space and time to express my self. She asks the perfekt questions that totally fit and help me to change my mind, to try new versions of acting. She gives Inputs, explainations and encourages me, she is warm hearted, respectful, has a good sense of humour.
