About me

Hello my name is Nikki and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. I have a B.S in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Education from Colorado State University, as well as hundreds of hours of continuing education.
I have worked in the field of counseling for the past 20 years. I started working in the field of substance abuse and domestic violence and then went on to get my master's degree in Education and Human Resources. I have been providing services for individuals, families and kids of all ages. I have experience working with parents who are struggling with extreme behaviors with their children, trauma, addictions, anxiety, depression and people who are seeking career transitions. I use a client centered approach and focus on your treatment goals using your individual strengths to help you accomplish your goals. I enjoy working with a diverse population of adults from all ages.

I have been working with couples over the past few years on issues relating to intimacy, communication, working with behavior issues in their children, and infidelity. It is so easy to get caught up in life that sometimes you forget about yourself and each other. Life can get overwhelming very quickly and it is easy to lose sight of how to have healthy coping skills and open communication as a couple. My goal is to help couples understand how to have a healthy relationship while keep positive life boundaries, and not losing yourself in the process.

I am married and a mother to two very amazing kids. I have two cats and two dogs so my house is always busy. My family loves adventures so we spend most of our summers traveling. I think it is important for my kids to grow up learning about other cultures and I want to give them experiences that last a lifetime.
Asking for help is never easy and I feel truly honored when individuals trust me to guide them in their time of need. I am very open, non-judgmental, compassionate and easy to talk to. I look forward to the opportunity to work together.

I feel that she is very knowledgeable and capable of understanding the issues and skilled in offering opportunities for us to figure out solutions after we've gained a better understanding. She is impartial and rational, and I would recommend her to others in need.
