About me
My name is Nicole Bakewell, and I was born in New York City but grew up most of my life in the Pocono’s. Growing up, I always had a desire to help people. I have worked with children, couples, and families for over a decade. I enjoy helping adolescents with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, coping with addiction, stress and school challenges. I also help individuals who have suffered from trauma and emotional abuse. I have hands-on experience working with teens and adolescents who suffer from both mental health challenges and substance abuse. I have been fortunate to provide clinical services to clients in a variety of settings including community mental health as well as telehealth services. I am trained and use a variety of treatment approaches tailored to meet client needs. I see myself as a mechanism that can provide necessary support to help you reach life goals and overcome challenges you may face in your life. My philosophy is centered around Behavioral and Trauma Centered and Focused. By providing a warm, caring, non-judgmental approach you will be on the path to living a more balanced life. My primary availability for sessions is Monday through Friday 5 AM to 10 PM EDT and occasional weekend, however I am available to discuss additional options if that time does not work well for you., I look forward to learning more about you and helping you identify any improvement opportunities that you may be facing in.
I am very familiar with The Gottman Method and I utilize it in a lot of my sessions. I also focus on teaching communication skills with emphasis on learning how to listen effectively as well as expressive language. I am careful to ensure that each individual has the opportunity to share thoughts and feelings in a respectful environment. We will discover individual attachment styles and how they work together. Each person will benefit from understanding how they developed their love and attachment styles and how they contribute to the relationship.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Nicole Bakewell. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
I have pretty high expectations of what I need in a therapist and connecting with the "right one for me" is like finding the right hair dresser! I was also wary doing video sessions as I've always done in-person throughout my life. I tend to hold back for the first session until I feel the right connection. Nicole made me feel very comfortable right out of the gate and I was able to let my guard down. She really understands what you've said and she's REALLY heard you. She counters with extremely relevant questions that have you thinking on your own. Her use of CBT was more helpful than I expected. She is the first therapist I've had that didn't make me feel anxious before a session. I also didn't have an issue with post-session breakdowns that I've had in the past. She is to-the-point and doesn't beat around the bush or ask irrelevant questions that make you feel stupid. She also uses "normal-person" language instead of firing a bunch of confusing technical terms at you that you may not understand. If you are looking for a laid-back, easy-going, chill vibe type of therapist, Nicole checks all these boxes! Keep up the great work Nicole!
Excellent! Very attentive and is completely neutral. I love how blunt Nicole is since I dislike sugar coating. My wife and I enjoy our sessions!
Listens and gives us good advice to work on.
Nicole is a loving therapist that helps me and my partner tremendously.
Nicole is intuitive and supportive. She's been a big help.
We can’t say enough good things about Nicole. Truly a lovely person. This was our first time doing therapy and I really enjoyed it. She wasn’t overwhelming at all. In fact, I felt very comfortable sharing our problems with her. The entire process was laidback and casual. She was so insightful as well. By the 3rd meeting, something clicked for me. She’s that good. I’m actually going to miss her! If I were to continue therapy, I would 100 percent want to be paired with her again!
Very supportive.responds on time.
I think Nicole is a good listener and has a lot of skills to offer to help us improve our relationship.
