Natasha Dedijer-Turner

(MEd, EdS, LPC)

About Me

I have over 18 years experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in various settings: private practice, psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, domestic violence shelters, forensic facilities and advocacy centers. I was qualified as an expert witness in trauma and abuse in several metro Atlanta counties and conducted over 300 forensic interviews. I served over 10 years as an Executive Board Member on the State of Georgia Sexual Offender Registration Review Board (SORRB) and published on various mental health topics. I also taught psychology at the undergraduate level and conducted workshops on relationship issues, parenting skills, stress management and mandated reporting.

I received my BA from Emory University and both my M.Ed and Ed.S from the University of Florida. I have worked in the mental health field for over 23 years-18 years as a LPC. I am also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) candidate. I am a registered out-of-state telehealth provider for the state of Florida.

I approach couples counseling as a neutral environment to help couples agree upon and work through tough issues with support. My job is to meet you both where you are now, help you either rebuild your relationship and renew your commitment, or clarify the reasons why you need to separate or end the relationship. Along the way I will strive work to empower you both to resolve your own issues during and after therapy. Drawing from cognitive-behavioral (CBT), solution focused and rational emotive behavior therapies together we will strive to change a situation that no longer works so you can live your best lives.

I look forward to working with you.
