I became a therapist to help people suffer less and grow more. I believe that therapy is a journey and that just as you wish to move past your pain, your pain has a meaning. Our goal is not to get you to who you were before your issues began, but to integrate the lessons life is offering you through this challenging time.
I use attachment, life history and open and compassionate communication to help couples resolve their issues. I believe every couple has its own purpose, a kind of love that is trying to emerge that teaches both the individuals and the couple itself how to fully open your hearts. At the same time, I use practical tools related to listening, open communication, conflict resolution and role-playing to genuinely find out what you may be conflicting about, and how to resolve it.
I've worked in private practice, a mental health jail, a high-needs public clinic and in people's homes, so I've exposed myself to a variety of human challenges and triumphs. Over a decade of practice, I've learned to have space for people's processes, to be a safe space as a contained, to remain grounded in my listening and to be authentic in my practice.
I often use a spiritual approach in treatment -- not of any religion, but in the sense that a deeper, more meaningful and integrated you seeks to come forth. This approach has been fruitful for people of all beliefs, including atheists. I believe your life has a meaning, and that you are it.

Mitch is a phenomenal therapist, wonderful listener, kind human, and just everything we needed to guide us through marital challenges. Thank you for opening our eyes and remembering why we married each other. Thank you for letting me see the other perspective. And most of all, thank you for saving our marriage.

Mitch is deeply gifted in this space, and we appreciate all of our time so far with him. We hope to continue to grow with his help for a long time.
every session is a new frontier to explore, and never disappointing.
Mitch is exactly what my wife and I needed in our relationship. He is understanding beyond belief, fair, empathetic, and compassionate. He is not pushy or judgmental, and he leaks love and joy at a contagious level. He ha truly been a blessing.
Mitch is amazing. I can’t recommend him enough. He is the first therapist I’ve been able to do real work with and as a result have made so much progress. I’m incredibly thankful to have him as my therapist.
