About Me

I want to help make your relationship stronger, closer, healthier than it ever has been.

Greetings! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of WI and MO. I have enjoyed over 16 years experience in a variety of settings. These include online therapy, community counseling, in-home therapy, in-patient treatment for eating disorders, and counseling within a correctional institution for substance-related disorders. I have helped people with a range of issues, including couples conflict, anxiety, trauma, attention deficit, depression, career issues, eating disorders, and substance abuse.

When working with couples, I assess what each individual brings to the relationship, both in terms of strengths as well as his/her own issues that may be contributing to the issues of the relationship. I also look at the dynamics of the relationship and help the couple to understand these dynamics and how they can begin to alter unhealthy dynamics while holding onto what is working for them. There is much benefit to be gained through learning how to enhance and increase effective, respectful communication, and couples therapy is a great way for this to happen.

As I work with you, my desire is that you each will always feel heard, understood, and validated. I hope to gain your trust and build a personal yet therapeutic relationship with you both. Beyond this, I want to share practical tools and skills to help you accomplish your goals and feel better. I have many tools in my pocket to share with you that come from Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, and Internal Family Systems therapy approaches.

I have found that one of the benefits of online counseling is that you have the ability to pace your therapy. I am here to meet you where you are at. Whether you desire to dive into this process with intensity or take a more laid back approach until you feel more comfortable, whether you desire to be given lots of structured assignments or just talk about your day and know that I will sincerely listen, I will respect your needs and what you desire to get out of your therapy. I will check in and communicate with you up to 3 times per day, five days a week.

Here's to stronger, healthier relationships!

Mindy has been BEYOND amazing and accommodating. She has given my husband and I the tools and training to reconcile a failing marriage. I went into this wanting nothing more than a way to be able to work together for our children, and to make him understand that we would not be able to be a couple. I knew that there was zero chance of an actual reconciliation, but that he needed to realize that and this would help him move forward so we could work together for the kids. That didn't happen. We are happier then we were when we were happy, so much so that we have decided to continue utilizing Mindy even though we feel like we are "fixed". She is a blessing, and the best thing to happen to us that I never planned. Could not be happier with my experience, and I'm thankful every day that we were blessed with Mindy.
