About me
When I began my career change to the helping field ten years ago, I chose to be educated as a community mental health professional, to receive the training that would afford me the therapeutic resources for meeting the counseling needs of my community. I have work experience with clients with various socioeconomic status, clinical diagnosis and in various treatment settings. I am extremely passionate about my work as a therapist and pride myself in connection. I genuinely care about people, and seek to establish a rapport with my client as quickly as possible. I believe great therapists are born, and I am finally doing my life's work. I often hear what is not being said and intuitively understand emotion. As a couples counselor I seek to meet with the couple and individuals between couples sessions. I hope to assist couples in reaching their chosen goals. Should client needs ever exceed my expertise they will be referred for the best possible therapeutic help.
I am a Board Certified National Certified Counselor, Licensed in Professional Counseling. My education and experience cover all aspects of the individual, family, and couple dynamics. I am Trauma certified, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing therapeutic interventions.
I have 10 years of experience in mental health and substance addiction. I treat each client and coupleship uniquely. I am able to provide client specific treatment plans tailored to specific needs based on the client's chosen goals.
I look forward to connecting with you for a solution to your therapeutic needs.
