I was a bit skeptical about just being assigned a therapist, and I do know that even when you choose your own that sometimes it’s not a good fit and you have to move on. So I was worried but prepared when my husband and I began marriage and individual counseling with Michael.
Some of my personal concerns and journey right now are are deconstructing patriarchal and religious structures. Michael is an excellent listener and I felt like he is able to tap into the issues that were most important to me and help me home and develop my own confidence. He asks excellent questions and encourages empathy and positivity with accountability. Michael has been instrumental in some of my personal leaps or growth and in helping my partner and our marriage survive a very difficult time. I think it’s always good to trust your gut if you’re not vibing with someone, but I’m so glad we gave Regain a try and that we were able to benefit from Michael’s wise council!
