About me
I have served as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for 17 years. My experience includes private practice and outpatient. I have a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology, and a Doctorate degree in Community Care and Counseling: Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University
When I work with a couple I listen to each person's feelings, accepting where they are. The first goal in counseling is to learn how to manage those feelings which may be very intense, such as anger, fear, shock, and anxiety. I ask couples to agree to certain guidelines which may help them begin to feel some relief... and hope. During the next phase, the couple begins to redevelop trust. The focus becomes improved communication skills, cycles of family patterns, tolerance of differences and forgiveness. I have helped many couples find their way through the aftermath of an affair and go on to create the relationship they have always wanted.
I have a warm, friendly, and relaxed style to help you feel more at ease. You have already taken the first step in seeking help. I would be pleased to talk with you about ways in which I can be of help.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Melissa Garrett-Moultrie. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Dr Garret is very understanding. She listens and give good advices. She also gives weekly tasks if we prefer to. She asks important questions that make us think. My partner and I able to work things out together.

Dr. Garrett-Moultrie is simply amazing! She really takes the time to listen and understand the whole situation, then gives very helpful advice.
Dr. Garret Moultrie is an amazing therapist. She is patient, nonjudgmental and listens to our concerns. She understands our needs and offers a variety of solutions. I love that she has a flexible schedule. She is extremely knowledgeable and qualified. After having less than successful therapy with a few other other therapists, we are so happy that we found Dr. Garrett Moultrie and we always look forward to speaking with her. We are both very pleased!
Very caring and easy to talk to, highly recommend
