Dr. Melinda Lawless Coker

(Psy.D., LMFT)

About Me

Hello, I go by M.A. and am a licensed family therapist for nearly 3 decades; I became a licensed psychologist 15 years ago and operate from a relational perspective in my work with couples. This includes using a systems-based perspective and connecting with partners as the individuals that they are. My intention is for you to feel safe and ready to explore your relationship, which will incorporate looking at the role models you've had for building healthy attachments with others. I find clean and clear communication between partners is absolutely essential; this involves learning new ways to practice verbal communications with each other. It's good as well to have some rehearsal dialogs in our sessions, so that both of you can have the amazing experience of being heard.

Let's connect and make this journey together. I look forward to hearing from you so we can get started soon!
