About me

I have been doing couples therapy for years and received training from John & Julie Gottman. They are the gurus of Marriage & Family Therapy. Not every couple wants to stay together when they come to therapy. I can help each couple figure out what is best for them. I will not put my views or opinions on any couple. I will get to the heart of their issues, allowing them to have the insight to know what direction to take. Some of the primary issues that couples struggle with are sex, finances and communication. I am excellent at helping with these issues. Couples often need to remember why they fell in love and to learn about what it would take to fall in love again. We often hear that love is a choice, but staying or leaving a relationship is also a choice. I recommend books, often give homework assignments and take a behavioral approach to couples therapy. i like to keep it brief and get couples moving in the direction they want to go. I have helped many couples survive betrayals such as affairs, addictions, and pornography. My education includes a PhD in Health and Human Services, a Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy and a Bachelors degree in Nursing.
