Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Mary "Jackie" Downie. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
My partner and I were on the verge of divorce when we first started working with Jackie, and I don't think it's an exaggeration at all to say she was instrumental in saving our marriage. From my perspective we're in a better place now than we were the day we got married. She's fantastic at making both parties feel heard and validated, and at working through issues in a way that feels genuinely supportive without it ever coming across like she's taking sides. Jackie's approach did so much more than treat the symptoms we were currently experiencing. Working with her, we learned better tools to communicate, to recognize when we were seeing an issue from different perspectives, and to make meaningful changes to how we engaged as partners.
Honestly, the one bittersweet part of sort of "graduating" from couple's therapy was no longer having a reason to meet with her. It's been I think a year and a half since we regularly met with Jackie, but when we recently encountered an issue we were struggling to resolve in a productive way, it felt like a no brainer to reach back out to her for support. I've recommended Jackie to pretty much anyone in my life who has expressed any sort of marital distress in the last couple of years, and I wouldn't hesitate in the slightest to do so again.
Wow, what an amazing, inspiring and wonderful therapist. She is so insightful and she can really get to the core, in a good way. She asks questions and I can tell that she really cares about her patients. 10/10, five stars all the way. She is the best!
We have met with Jackie over a year now and it is hard to express our gratitude for her. She is a very approachable and patient therapist that has a way of keeping both of us involved / engaged even when it is important for one of us to listen more. She is so intentional in understanding each of us individually, it has been very rewarding and fulfilling to see how our therapy has shifted in our growth. We love getting to meet with Jackie.
Great insights! She really tried to help our difficult situation. Thank you for your time and ears!
