About me
My name is Marquita Turner, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana where I have practiced for 8 years. I recently obtained licensure in Texas. I do not consider myself a couples therapist, however I do consider myself an expert on Relationship Building. Being in relationship with someone else is constant work. Sometimes this work is enjoyable and sometimes not so much. In order to be successful in relationship with someone else we have to be aware of the relationship we have built with ourselves. The relationship we have developed with ourselves and previous people can give insight into breakdowns in your current relationship. We will explore these relationships in session.
Relationships have several components. In order to build a healthy relationship you must be aware of these components moving forward. The goal is to help you guys become the experts on yourselves and your relational patterns moving forward so that you can develop a commonly agreed upon set of skills to utilize throughout the growth of your relationship.

She is good!
I’ve been in therapy before with other’s and felt like it did not help. It was different this time around with Marquita. She also strive to help build my self confidence and motivate me to believe in myself and love myself. She also was very helpful in my relationship. She’s very straight forward and doesn’t take sides and I love that about her.
