Marissa Kent

(NCC, LPC)

About Me

I am passionate about helping others build the strong, healthy relationships they desire. So much so that I completed coursework to become a facilitator of a program designed to prepare couples for long term relationships and/or enrich their current relationships before becoming a nationally certified and licensed professional counselor. I find the work I do so rewarding.

My approach in counseling is an eclectic mix that primarily combines cognitive behavioral and person-centered techniques, but the specifics of how I work with each couple is as unique as the couple. I believe that by equipping couples with strong communication skills, they can develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their partner and begin to identify the solutions that work best within their relationship.
