Louise Cialkowski

About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist with 6years experience working as a psychotherapist and counselor. I was an RN for 25 years before deciding to pursue mental health counseling. I am from Chicago and I moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1999 to escape the snow. I spend my free time spoiling my 4 extremely large rescue dogs and trying to become an urban farmer.
I got my Bachelor degree in nursing in 1988 from Northern Illinois University and my master degree in 1996 from Loyola University. I worked in many different areas of nursing including Oncology/Hematology, surgical nursing, ICU, Emergency department, and nursing unit director. I became the manager of staff development and education in 2006. After a life-altering injury to my spine in 2011 I decided to pursue mental health. I received my Master in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Phoenix in 2015. I have extensive experience working with clients who experience depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, chronic health issues, and trauma which has affected their relationships. I have worked with couples for a good part of my career. I have also helped people who experienced physical and/or emotional abuse .
My counseling style is warm, welcoming, and authentic. I believe that the client is not the problem, the problem is the problem. My approach combines humanistic theory and Socratic reasoning to develop practical answers to improve your relationship. I will tailor my approach to help meet your relationship goals and conquer your unique issues.
If you are ready to take that first step toward a more fulfilling and rewarding life, I am here to support, honor, and empower you and your relationship. Together we can on an incredible journey of hope.
