About me

Lisa Holter earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of North Dakota. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of North Dakota. Lisa has been with the University of Mary since December 2014, serving the Graduate Counseling Program as the Program Director, Student Advisor, and Assistant Professor. Lisa has spent over ten years working with children and their families, first as an In-Home Family Therapist and then as the Director of a state-wide In-Home Family Therapy program. My boyfriends and my experience with Lisa has been so helpful. She is so understanding, compassionate, and helpful in the little time (3 sessions) that we have spent with her. Our relationship was close to ending and with her help we are learning how to navigate through communication issues and become a stronger couple. We genuinely appreciate all of her help thus far and plan to continue to work with her as long as we need to.
