About me
Hello: My name is Linda McNellis. I live in southern Oregon and began my studies at Marylhurst University studying theology and sociology. Subsequently, I pursued a master’s degree at Portland State University completing an MSW degree in 1993. In 1997, I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My walk with God began as a child and it has deepened with my own life struggles. Matthew 7:7 says, ““Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” This has been true in my own life with God’s grace. As a Christian I value each person’s unique God given abilities. I believe that God has given me the gifts to help others reach their potential.
My counseling style is to communicate with others with the spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ who has shown us through the scriptures that one need not judge. We are all human beings and at times fall short. However, we can overcome our obstacles through faith and taking positive action. At times I will give homework assignments such as writing down a list of things you can do to improve a situation; writing self-statements to counteract negative thoughts; finding new opportunities to think positive thoughts and/or finishing each day by visualizing its best parts. Together we can brain storm ways to resolve the issues that face you. This technique is called cognitive behavioral therapy. Other therapeutic techniques may be used such as person centered and stage of development theory.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Linda McNellis. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Linda was an excellent listener and was very intuitive with homework assignments to help us grow strong in our marriage. We appreciate her guidance very much!
What I like most about Linda McNellis as a counselor is that she reflects back to you what she hears then adds a dimension to it that keeps you exploring the depth of a matter, eventually revealing the real source below it.
She is Awesome!
