About Me

Hello!

My name is Leslie, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with years of experience in the areas of healing from trauma and abuse (both for children and adults), parenting concerns, pregnancy and postpartum adjustment, PTSD, adjustment disorders, stress and anxiety, and attachment difficulties. I have gleaned this experience from working in a non-profit counseling agency as well as a non-profit crisis pregnancy center. In all of these settings, I have had the privilege to work with couples and families trying to navigate life’s difficult moments, and have witnessed the beauty and challenge of coming together in these times.

I received my undergraduate degree at Florida State University in Family and Child Sciences, where I came to understand and appreciate the intricacies of family dynamics and how they affect us in childhood as well as into adulthood. From there, I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree also at Florida State University, where I was able to obtain skills in compassionately guiding people through difficulties toward the full and satisfied lives we aspire to.

Because I believe that each person’s journey is different, I utilize an integrative approach in my work with you. Some of the variety of approaches I use include Humanistic Approach, psychodynamic approach, family therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. During my years of experience, I received training in attachment-related concerns, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and am an Adoption-Competent certified therapist in my state.

Though it can be difficult to reach out and seek help, I applaud the courage it took you to be here today! In this counseling relationship, I believe that you are the expert on you and your relationship, and it is my job to gently guide you to fulfilling and meaningful communication and healing— I trust that with all of us working together, we will be able to make significant progress toward your goals!

Leslie is amazing! She is very relatable and really helps guide a conversation without taking it over. She is friendly and follows up with us consistently which I appreciate. You can feel that she genuinely cares about us as a couple and our relationship, as well as us as individuals. I think that's very important! She has plenty of resources to use and her expertise shows! I would recommend Leslie without hesitation to anyone! 5 gold stars!
