About me
My name is Learie Callender. LCSW and I was educated at Adelphi University in Long Island, New York. I have been a therapist for the past 36 years and have worked in numerous settings in New York City, Florida, and Trinidad and Tobago. I use several modalities to work with anyone because I truly believe all individuals are unique and problems you may encounter in life are also unique. it will be a pleasure to get to know anyone and to help individuals, couples and families continue on their life journeys. The population I usually work with are adults eighteen years and over although throughout my career I have worked with all age groups, including forensic clients and sexual offenders. I remain eclectic and know I have the capability to work with anyone.

Wise and fair
There are no words to describe the help Learie has provided to my husband and I since we started earlier this year. Our relationship has gotten so much better to the point that we actually see the light at the end of the tunnel. Prior to starting to therapy we were seriously considering divorce. But now we have a clearer vision of what we want and how to go about it. We are obviously not perfect and not completely “heal” but with the help of Learie, marriage is so much sweeter. He has helped us navigate our communication as well as regulate our emotions. I honestly can go on and on about Learie but I’ll just say this - when we renew our vow, he will be front row!
