Hi, I'm LaShica!

I currently live in Charlotte, NC but I'm originally from Marion, SC. I am married with 2 kids and in my free time I enjoy: lifting weights, playing softball, and running.

I hold a Post- Certificate in School Counseling from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, Masters of Arts Degree in Counseling , Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology and I am a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of School Counseling. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor.

I some experience with working with couples over the past few years. I have worked with families providing individual and family counseling in the clinical and home setting.

My approach to therapy comes from an eclectic base with a strong focus on cognitive-behavioral and person centered therapy. I believe that a person should be able to make choices about their future and should be given all available resources to make an informed choice.

LaShica helped my husband and I reconnect and repair when we were just about to call it quits. LaShica has been really great to work with. She is so relatable and shares her very real perspective and examples to try and get you to see another way to view a particular situation. It’s always very comfortable to talk with her and it’s really been very helpful to our relationship. We still have work to do but have made a lot of progress so far. I appreciate her kind nature, sensitivity, humor and expertise. It’s all necessary during sometimes what can be tense or uncomfortable exchanges with my partner.

LaShica has been great. Clear and responsive communication, and very easy to make appointments with.

I love the flexibility of scheduling online and she keeps a good availability.

She keeps a great balance of listening and being supportive of my feeling, and also giving feedback so I’m not stuck in my feelings. She breaks things down in a way that helps simplify the emotional experience.
