About Me

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for Texas, Missouri and Kansas. I am from many states of the Midwest partly from having a parent in the military and most recently due to wanting to be closer to family. I am now practicing clinician in Texas by way of St. Louis. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia (Go Mizzou!) and my Master’s of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have been licensed for almost 15 years working with my most recent experiences working with individuals and couples going through divorce, separation, and marital difficulties. I often use Gottman methods to help couples work through conflicts, build love and trust by learning to listen and communicate differently. I am a strong listener and I ask a lot of questions for understanding. Life can be unpredictable and full of ups and downs, and having someone that is encouraging can help through the journey.

Working with Katrina has been extremely gratifying. I have been able to improve my communication skills both personally and professionally.

We have been with Katrina for over a year now and my sessions with her are often the only time all week where I can feel heard and understood. Also, I always end our calls feeling like I have a better understanding of why/how my thoughts are the way they are and this helps me be proactive about what I feel troubled with. I used to think that therapy was not for me... and now I can’t believe that I had gone so long without it. I find that difficult situations are easy to sift through with her. I have personally felt stronger for these sessions and have so much gratitude for Katrina. Wish there were more Katrinas here in Malaysia!!!!
