Welcome to a new way of looking at life. We are going to problem-solve and overcome obstacles together. All you will need is to be open and willing to work through the process.
I started out my career working at the Department of Children and Families in New York where I discovered I wanted to obtain my Master’s degree in Counseling because I wanted to help individuals achieve their goals. I obtained my degree and commenced in the counseling field in 1996 working with families. I worked with with marital couples who struggled with their relationship due to various issues (poor communication, infidelity, substance abuse, depression...). I currently live in Florida where I achieved my LMHC and continue to work with marital couple and individuals grappling with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive conditions. My ability to speak two languages (Spanish and English) has allowed me to reach a broader population.
I know how difficult it is to make the decision to ask for help and begin the process of modifying ones thoughts and behaviors. However, I want to make this journey as smooth and painless as possible. I see emotional serenity in your future and I look forward to hearing from you.

there's one word I can use to describe my overall experience with Karen " excellent "
Karen is very approachable and I felt at ease talking to her. She helped me see things from a different angle. I think that her advice has helped my partner and I communicating better. I would like to continue the therapy to see more changes in our relationship
I have only spent a little time talking with Karen, but she is very understanding. Listens to everything I have to say and I always feel her responses are accurate and relating directly to what my concerns. She gives great responses that really make you think and even challenge yourself, which I like.
She is always there for me, that’s the most important thing for me. I feel safe with her, that’s what I need.
