Welcome! Let me first applaud you for reaching out for support, it takes a lot of strength and bravery to do so. Therapy is a wonderful tool to help make positive changes in your life. As a counselor, I feel like the therapeutic relationship is a key aspect of successful therapy. I also believe you are the expert on your life and goals and my role is to provide a safe and empathetic space for you to work towards being your best self. To do so I utilize various counseling theories including person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. As a counselor, I will provide you with useful activities that help develop practical solutions and positive coping skills that can be utilized in various areas of your life.
My educational background includes a Bachelor's of Science, specializing in psychology, a Master's of Education, specializing in counseling, both of which were obtained from Tarleton State University, and a licensed professional counselor through the state of Texas. I have 20 years of experience working with families, domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse survivors as well as crisis intervention.

we have only had one session with jodee so far, but she was great. she listened really well and asked the right questions. she also hit a few things right on the nose where i didn't even know how to explain it properly. i really feel like she will be a good match for us!

Mrs. Lucero is a very attentive therapist. She seems to be aware of different ques in talking with us, to know and understand what's going on and what the root issue is. She attempts to provide realistic resolutions for us as a couple and as individuals. Due to reluctancy from my partner (for reasons having to do with his own accountability) I'm not sure when we'll have another session, but I would definitely recommend her to other people.

Jodee has helped us so much to reconnect and understand each other better. She has a lot of expertise to bring to the table to make it easier to get through difficult conversations and breaking bad habits. She’s very easy to talk to and confide in. She provides us with lots of resources and things to think about in between sessions as well. We definitely enjoyed doing the exercises that she recommended and find that they’ll help us longterm in our day to day conflicts. Overall we highly recommend Jodee!!
