About me

Hello there my name is Jason Huber, MS, LPC and I think that the search for helping yourself or your loved ones dealing with serious issues should be easier and without shame. The stigma and negative feelings that many people experience when seeking help bothers me greatly and I pride myself on doing everything I can to help reduce that stigma. I do this by focusing on you and your unique needs. There are other ways to view your problem that could provide just the key to get you unstuck and headed toward a better direction and improved outcomes. I look forward to getting to know you better and working with you to help you identify your strengths and the opportunities that you have for change right before you. I want you to know that I understand how difficult it is to deal with the problems life throws our way at times. I'm very proud that you are a person that has made a commitment to get started in the process of therapy. Many people feel as if seeking help is a sign of weakness and are scared to take the first step on a healing journey. Thank you for having the courage to begin this process with me. I also want you to know that I have over 20 years of experience in the area of psychotherapy and counseling with a wide variety of people; so please don't hesitate to bring up whatever issues you'd like to (and I really mean WHATEVER issues) you want to discuss. I can almost guarantee you that I helped someone else work through something very similar at some point in my career. As far as my approach goes, well the focus is always on your unique needs in the most effective and efficient way possible. I utilize creative evidence-based interventions that are centered within the cognitive-behavioral, solution-oriented, and family-systemic theoretical frameworks. If there's anything else you'd like to know about my work experience, I'd be more than happy to give you examples to help ease any concerns you might still have. I am here to help you slow down and take the next step that you are perhaps currently avoiding, even though you know you really need to take it to get to where you really want to go. That's all from me for now; but let's talk soon to help you get started on an improved path. I can't wait to learn a lot more about you and the problems that you are wrestling with currently. Whether your issues involve anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, or some other combination; I'm here to help you sort out the feelings and put everything that's caused them in a better perspective. Life is a process of continual growth and change and you don't have to go it alone. Take some time for yourself today, because you deserve it.

P.S. I'd also like for you to know that I have a wide variety of experience working with couples and that includes military couples. The frequent changes, moves, and deployments put intense additional stress on not only the relationship of the couple; but the relationships between all family members. From 2006 through 2015, couples counseling was the primary focus of my practice. I also provided workshops in this area for couples that weren't ready to take the plunge into traditional couples counseling. Working with couples is not only intense, but also intensely rewarding. I do wish that more couples would give it a try before their problems reach the critical mass of separation and divorce. It takes positive energy and work to improve relationships and I believe this is no where more true than in intimate relationships. If you aren't doing what you need to do to improve trust and communication, then you're most likely headed in the wrong direction. Give yourself and your spouse a chance to change by believing in their ability to do so. It's a gift that can give you both that brighter future that pays dividends beyond diamonds.

Jason is very helpful and tries to break it up with corky jokes to be able to cut through the ice and let me tell you that's not always easy when it comes to this POND!

Jason’s approach is awesome. Doesn’t feel like a therapy session. The way he listens and allows me to interact flows more like a conversation.

Jason has been helping my SO and I find the intimacy and trust in our relationship again. Every week is so different and there is so much progress it’s unreal! He knows just what to say and when to say it. I highly recommend Jason to anyone who is wanting to save their relationship!
