James White

About Me

My name is James “Ryan” White. I am a licensed therapist in the state of Alabama. I have been a therapist for more than nine years. I have been licensed for almost 5 years. I specialize in dialectical behavioral therapy. Specifically, DBT informed therapy. What that means for my clients is real solutions to problems quickly using DBT skills. DBT skills allow you to better control and understand your emotions. These skills are especially important with couples who are suffering. Couples who are just roboting it through marriage or relationship, not really feeling listened to or even heard. I have and continue to work with couples who struggle to communicate even after years of marriage. You and I will work together to learn how to set boundaries and listen to one another. I can be your referee who doesn’t take sides and looks for true solutions, in order to work toward communicating and rekindling that spark – that made you fall in love in the first place.

Ryan has been a major help to our family. He is super down to earth and genuinely cares about seeing us become a functioning family. He’s not afraid to call it how he sees and give an honest assessment of the situation. Therapy was something that really made me uncomfortable, but his ability to make things seem laid back helped me overcome that quickly
