I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alabama and Georgia with over 10 years of experience. My clinical work began in the state prisons working to help those incarcerated find meaning with grief/loss as well as understanding of family dynamics. I later continued my practice with community settings where I am skilled in a wide range of expertise areas that include parenting problems, academic concerns due to classroom behavior, meaning for life, marital/relational, reintegration after jail/prison, building a new foundation for healthy relationships with family and intimate partners.
I began my focus on multicultural diversity studies 5 years ago and have become skilled at working with women and men of color. I work from a family systems approach to help clients understand root generational traumas that impact current relationships with peers, siblings, family and intimate partners. I am a Military Family Life Counselor certified therefore, have experience with working with active and retired service men and families.
I am dedicated to helping clients move in this life's journey by taking a look at the root causes and moving to a life of abundance, joy and peace. I tell my clients a famous quote, "I am not telling you it is going to be easy. I'm telling you it's going to be worth it."
I look forward to taking this journey with you.
