Therapy is a process of opening up about your life experiences, relationships, and your innermost thoughts and feelings. The process is different for each person/couple and does not lend itself to being time limited. At times the therapy process may seem uncomfortable as you examine past hurts, traumas, and conflicts, however, this discomfort is necessary and temporary. My approach to couples therapy is cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based, and emotion-focused.
I have extensive experience working with and counseling adults, couples and families. I earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Wayne State University and I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in the State of Michigan. I have a Ph.D in Human Services, specializing in Family Studies and Intervention Strategies. Employing the role of advocate, collaborator, and guide, I seek to support my clients in overcoming their relationship barriers and champion their efforts to effect positive changes and stability in their lives.
I look forward to working with you.
