About me

ABOUT ME
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Pastoral Counselor in Massachusetts, who has been in the helping profession for over 26 years.
Along my journey of becoming a licensed therapist, I have also received training in domestic violence and trauma and addiction treatment. Over the years, I have worked with individuals with a wide variety of issues, including domestic violence, depression, anxiety, relationship and intimacy issues, parenting issues, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, spiritual problems, and OCD. I have also worked with many individuals who have experienced trauma and abuse.

I use a variety of approaches tailored to my clients' unique situations. Having worked for years in community mental health and faith-based settings, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in multicultural therapy. I am also a warm and interactive therapist. I create a nurturing and safe environment that is nonjudgmental and caring.
When working with couples, I often employ solution-focused, strategic family therapy, and spiritual-based approaches, among others. I always provide options and tools that the client can choose that will have both short-term and long-term effects.
Every situation and individual is unique, so I customize my therapeutic approach to fit your needs and comfort level. From my perspective, therapy as a partnership between you and me - we collaborate to discover and implement solutions to your problems. I will be your companion and resource on your therapeutic journey.

The most significant hurdle in this journey is taking the first step in seeking professional help. You have already made giant strides in this respect. You're on your way to accomplishing your goals.

Dr. Prospere is kind with a gentle sense of humor, therapy is hard and intense but Dr. Prospere often helps us to see the good on each other and has a calming effect which we really appreciate. We look forward to working with him whenever our schedules allow.
