I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who works in a dual diagnosis setting. I have nearly ten years experience working with serious mental illness, substance abuse, criminal attitudes, and family conflict. One of the main contributors to much of the problems we face today is the breakdown of the family unit.
It is my goal to assist couples, married and/or intentionally dating individuals gain the skills to support healthy interactions, interdependence while supporting each individual autonomy. Working on communication, forgiveness, and understanding is essential for relational development. Conflict resolution is another important skill set to produce increased vulnerability and intimacy in relationships.
If you are interested in identifying and addressing some of the foundational principles to produce a lasting and fulfilling relationship, couple counseling may be the right fit for you.
