About me

Hello,

My name is Eve Pearson-Marcus. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia since 2009 and have worked in a variety of clinical settings. I’ve worked in hospitals, primary care clinics, met with clients in their homes, worked for a non-profit agency and counseling center, worked with soldiers and veterans in military settings, and had a private practice.

I would describe my primary therapeutic style as Person-Centered, but also may use Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Solution-focused, Eclectic, & Feminist theories at times.
I have worked with a great variety of clients including individuals with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, LGBT issues, drug and alcohol issues, schizophrenia, eating disorders, and attention deficit, and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorders. I have also worked with individuals with, sexual disorders including sexual addiction, paraphiliacs, and pedophilia.

I’ve worked with many couples during my career as a therapist and have always found it especially fulfilling. Having been married twice, and living through a divorce provides me with crucial insights. I know how it feels when you know your relationship is crumbling, or perhaps close to crumbling. It's a very scary place to be.

I believe in helping my clients bring their strengths forward and into the light. We all need extra support at some point in our lives and I feel counseling should be as natural as going to the doctor, or even taking a college course. We are meant to always be learning, evolving, and improving ourselves. Life is too short and too precious to spend it stuck in an unhappy marriage.

Lastly, I am confident in my ability to help my clients and have an excellent clinical toolbox to share. I commit to providing my clients with a strong system of support, and will always provide an accepting, non-judgmental, caring and safe environment.

She is wonderful! She listens very attentively & takes notes so next session she can pick right back up. She genuinely cares about her clients. She is very open-minded & non-judgemental. It took a few sessions to really appreciate her power, but give her time to get to know you a bit better, it'll be worth it.
