About me

Hi, my name is Eva Goode and I have been providing mental health counseling services for over 8 years. I am a Licensed clinical social worker and have provided therapeutic care for couples from a wide range of ages and cultures. I treat clients ranging from ages 18-80 who are seeking relationship support for a wide range of relationship stressors. I have specialized in family therapy and can assist with stressors related to parenting needs as well. I use an empathetic and validating approach with a specialization in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Rational Emotive Therapy. When initiating therapy with new couples, I make sure to provide a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to understanding and listening to my clients goals and needs in therapy. I exhibit patience and validation as I build a trusting relationship with clients before providing interventions and suggestions. I will also provide referrals for any other services that may be needed. I assess and provide support for the development of coping skills that address relationship stressors. I focus on the development of mindful awareness of communication patterns and emotional vulnerabilities that increase reactivity. I provide skills coaching in emotion regulation and assist couples in developing validation and communication skills that improve connection. My clients are aware that I will always be available for support and they can reach out to me at any time if they feel the need.
